Aggression Replacement Training (ART) is comprehensive, evidence-based intervention designed to reduce aggressive and violent behavior. It is particularly useful for individuals who have difficulty controlling their anger, exhibit aggressive behavior, or struggle with social interactions. The PACT Program, provides ART to participants through sessions designed to help recognize anger, inappropriate communication with others, aggressive behavior and to correct such behavior through fitness. Each session is facilitated by certified fitness instructors and academic support services. The instruction revolves around the premise that behavior in manageable. PACT Program participants are guided to understand anger at its onset , how they choose to approach anger, and what can happen as a result of their choices. By understanding the antecedents, behavior choices, and consequences (ABCs) of behavior, participants can begin to control their aggression instead of letting their emotions control them.
